Ducks, feds to buy St. Bernard Island refuge for $1.4 million

The Marguerite-d’Youville Wildlife Refuge on Ile St. Bernard has been purchased for $1.4 million by the federal government and the wetlands conservation group Ducks Unlimited, and will be protected from development in perpetuity.
